Meghan Dowling
Lead Pastor
Hi! I'm Pastor Meg, and I've been serving as Bremerton UMC's lead pastor since July 2021! I'm originally from New England but have been living in the PNW for almost five years now and I'm happy to call it home! When I'm not preaching, teaching, or providing pastoral care I enjoy long walks in my neighborhood, rewatching episodes of The West Wing, and spending time with family and friends. I'm looking forward to meeting you, come join us on Sunday mornings!
Heather McDaniel
Director of Spiritual Formation
I'm Pastor Heather, and I've been serving as the Director of Spiritual Formation at Bremerton UMC since December 2023. I grew up in Bangladesh and Kenya, met my husband Luke in North Carolina, birthed our three children in Pennsylvania and on the Hopi Indian Reservation in Arizona, and moved to Poulsbo, WA in 2009. After hearing God's call to pastoral ministry, I attended Seattle Pacific Seminary, graduating in 2022. I am excited to be a part of Bremerton UMC, helping us to weave our own stories in to God's big story of healing and transformation. When I'm not working, I love to read, host, take long walks with Luke, or explore new places.
Cheryl Williams
Administrative Assistant
Hi! I’m Cheryl and have been serving as the Administrative Assistant at Bremerton UMC since March of 2021. When you call the church, I’m the one that will answer the phone. I’ve lived in Washington almost all my life, leaving the drier climes of Spokane in 1979 for Seattle to attend Seattle Pacific University. The past 40 years found me in two distinct careers, working in hazardous waste enforcement for the Environmental Protection Agency and caring for a disabled man as part of my family. I’m the proud mama of three amazing young women and two granddaughters (and three terrific son-in-laws). Working part time at Bremerton UMC is my opportunity to slow down, listen to God and serve my community in a more direct and hands-on way. When I’m not at church you will find me hiking in the woods with my dog Holly, or remodeling my house and property in Seabeck. I hope you will find Bremerton UMC a place you can call home.
